About
Toolnido is a collection of free calculators and small utilities: home and DIY material estimates, sewing and knitting quantities, kitchen conversions, time and work helpers, and text tools. Enter your numbers and get a result you can copy or print. Everything is calculated in your browser, and results are estimates to check against product labels, instructions and local rules.
Right now Toolnido has 49 free tools in 10 areas: Home & DIY, Crafts & Sewing, Kitchen & Food, Time & Work, Text & Data, Web & Dev, Images & Files, Audio & Video, Money & Shopping, General Tools. The full list is on the tools page.
How the tools work
Every tool does one job. You enter your own numbers, the page works out the result with plain arithmetic in your browser, and it explains the steps it used so you can check them. Most tools can copy the result, save a CSV or print the page.
Each tool page lists what the tool assumes, an example, how to read the result and what it does not cover. Where a figure is a rule of thumb rather than a published standard, such as a waste allowance or a rounding step, the tool data marks it as an unsourced assumption.
What to expect from the results
The results are estimates for planning and shopping. Real projects vary with the product, the surface, the way you work and local rules, so treat a result as a starting point and check it against the label or instructions of what you are buying. The disclaimer explains the limits by topic.
Questions and corrections
If a result looks wrong or an explanation is unclear, use the “Report a problem” button on the tool page or write via the contact page. Answers to common questions are in the FAQ.
